Traffic congestion in San Pedro a never-ending problem; SPTC sets regulations for large trucks
The problem with traffic congestion in San Pedro Town continues to increase despite past and present administration efforts. Now that students have returned to in-person classes, it is imperative to address vehicular congestion during peak hours to ensure their safety and that of other pedestrians, including tourists. As such, the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) has set a schedule for large delivery trucks to alleviate the traffic and avoid potential accidents.

SPTC to implement parking restrictions on Pescador Drive
Effective February 1, 2020, drivers will be required to parallel park on Pescador Drive. This new measure, implemented by The San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) and the island’s traffic department, seek to ensure the safety of all pedestrians, particularly children, who used the narrow street on their way to school.

Mayor weighs in on new golf cart rentals opening in San Pedro Town
Another golf cart rental company has opened on Pescador Drive. This new business contradicts what Mayor Daniel Guerrero said in November 2017, when he stated that his administration would no longer issue permits for new golf cart rentals.
