San Pedro Town has a third Little Free Library

To continue to promote reading among island children on Ambergris Caye, a third Little Free library was installed in the Boca del Rio Area in San Pedro Town on Wednesday, July 24th. The Little Free libraries operate under the honor system that you take a book and leave a book, so the content of the libraries constantly change.

Ground-breaking for new schools on Ambergris Caye to take place soon

Local politicians have promoted the idea of the construction of a new pre-school, primary and high school in San Pedro Town since May 2017, when the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced the building of 35 new schools countrywide. The schools are planned for north of San Pedro Town, and the news is that a ground-breaking ceremony is scheduled to take place in August of this year.
