SPJC hosts 5k Run for Education

To raise funds to purchase school supplies and teaching aids for teachers, San Pedro Junior College (SPJC) hosted a 5k Run for Education on Saturday, October 26th. The race saw the participation of 29 runners raising awareness of the importance of teachers and extending appreciation for them throughout the island.

Belizean teacher participates in prestigious global education exchange program

A Belizean teacher has been chosen to participate in a prestigious global education program in the United States of America (USA). He is 29-year-old Alex Cruz of the southern Stann Creek District, who through the teacher exchange program ‘Participate Learning,’ will be teaching at the Rocky River Elementary School in Cabarrus County, Concord, North Carolina for the upcoming academic year.

University of Belize to offer Bachelor’s Degree Program in San Pedro Town

The University of Belize is hoping to start their Bachelor’s Degree programs in January 2020, with a minimum of 15 students per program. Courses will be held at the San Pedro High School campus.
