International Costa Maya Festival Presents Miss Guatemala

Miss-Guatemala-Costa-Maya-Maria Jose Retolaza-2016-6The sixth contestant for the Reina De La Costa Maya pageant has been announced, and she is the beautiful Miss Guatemala. Maria Jose Larrañaga Retolaza is a vivacious people-person, with a particular interest in social work. She also enjoys horseback riding, boxing, modeling, as well as traveling – especially to beautiful beaches! She is excited to represent her beautiful country at the Costa Maya festival, and looks forward to a fantastic show.

Maria Jose joins Miss Costa Rica Monique Rodriguez, Miss El Salvador Marlin Ramirez, Miss Honduras Corina Canales, Miss Nicaragua Vianca Yasuara Gutiérrez Hernández and Miss Panama Margareth Villanueva in the quest for the title of Reina de La Costa Maya 2016, currently held by Miss Honduras Gabriela Vanessa Salazar Valle. The pageant will take place on Thursday, August 4th, the first night of the festival, at the Hon. Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex in San Pedro Town. The entertainment lineup for the festival will include Alison Hinds for Caribbean Night, Friday August 5th, and Los Super Lamas on Noche Internacional, Saturday, August 6th.Miss-Guatemala-Costa-Maya-Maria Jose Retolaza-2016-2
Ticket prices have been released, and the festival three-day pass for all events will be $200 for adults (12+) and $60 for children (5-11). Separately, pageant night will be $50 for adults and $30 for children, while Caribbean Night is $100 for adults and $30 for children. Noche Internacional will be $100 for adults and $30 for children.
