Governor-General Leads Delegation to Taiwan

While at the Presidential Palace, the Governor-General and President Tsai witnessed the signing of a bilateral agreement by Belize’s Attorney General Hon. Michael Peyrefitte and Taiwan’s Justice Minister Hon. Tsai Ching-Hsiang that would see the two countries cooperate on addressing matters of anti-corruption.

New Year Honours Conferred to Eight Belizeans

The Governor General of Belize H.E. Sir Colville Young conferred New Year Honours to eight Belizeans, on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, at the Belize House in Belmopan. Receiving the honours were six men and two women.

In their address to the Governor General, H.E. Mr. Eric Mayoraz, Ambassador of Switzerland; H.E. Mr. José Renato Sepúlveda Nebel, Ambassador of Chile; and H.E. Mrs. Ana Elena Moser Cazar, Ambassador of Ecuador, conveyed greetings from their respective countries and their pleasure in being in Belize to celebrate the nation’s independence.
