A statement from Jasmine Hartin regarding ongoing custody battle with Andrew Ashcroft 

Jasmine Hartin issued a statement in response to one released by her ex-partner Andrew Ashcroft, who moved to Turk's and Caicos with their children.

Andrew Ashcroft granted legal custody of children he shares with Jasmine Hartin

On Wednesday, May 25, Andrew Ashcroft was granted legal custody of his five-year-old twins he shares with his former partner Jasmine Hartin. The hearing took place at the Family Court in Belize City. Hartin was absent, but her attorney has already applied to the Supreme Court to dismiss the ruling based on an alleged bias.

Jasmine Hartin’s Manslaughter by Negligence case moves to Supreme Court

Jasmine Hartin was at the San Pedro Magistrate Court on Thursday, March 31st, for a preliminary inquiry of the Manslaughter by Negligence charge against her for the shooting death of police superintendent Henry Jemmott. The PI session inside the courtroom included an overview of the evidence tying Hartin to the incident. A trial will now take place, and Hartin was ordered to present herself at the opening of the next session of the Supreme Court in Belize City on June 13, 2022.

Family court grants Andrew Ashcroft interim custody of children

Jasmine Hartin took her former partner Andrew Ashcroft to the Family Court in Belize City on Tuesday, July 20th to get custody of their 4-year-old twins. The court granted Ashcroft interim custody of the children, and the case was adjourned.

Jasmine Hartin granted bail for Common Assault charge; remanded after Supreme Court bail revoked

For a second time, Canadian national 32-year-old Jasmine Hartin was escorted by San Pedro Police after arraigned at the San Pedro Magistrate Court. This time it was not for the Manslaughter by Negligence charge she received on June 1st for the shooting death of Police Superintendent Henry Jemmott, but for Common Assault. She was granted a $1,000 bail plus one surety of the same but was yet a free woman. The same day Hartin was promptly taken to the Supreme Court in Belize City, where her $30,000 bail for the Manslaughter by Negligence charge was revoked. If she cannot secure another bail bond, she will remain at the Kolbe Foundation-Central Prison in Hattieville until tried.

Superintendent Henry Jemmott fatally shot in San Pedro Town; island businesswoman detained for questioning

The Belize Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its senior officers. Superintendent Henry Jemmott was fatally shot in the early hours of Friday, May 28th, while socializing with a female friend on a dock in front of a beach resort south of downtown San Pedro. At a press briefing later that day, Commissioner of Police (ComPol) Chester Williams identified the female as Jasmine Hartin, the partner of Andrew Ashcroft, son of Lord Michael Ashcroft. She was taken to the San Pedro Police Station for questioning.
