Routine blood drive collects over 40 pints

Residents of San Pedro once again answered the call to support their community by participating in a blood drive on Saturday, May 3rd. The event took place at the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II, where 50 individuals turned out to donate. Following evaluations, 41 pints of blood were successfully collected.

Emergency Blood Drive successfully collected dozens of pints of blood

On Saturday, February 1st, many residents of San Pedro answered the call to assist with an emergency blood drive for islander Maria Kumul. The event was held at the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II, where nearly 50 individuals showed up to donate. After evaluations, 36 pints of blood were successfully collected.

The San Pedro Community Blood Drive Group wishes to thank all those who came to donate blood on September 14. Members of the Ambergris Caye community generously donated 6 pints of blood, which can can potentially save the lives of up to 18 persons. For our most recent blood drive, the San Pedro Community Blood Drive Group was able to partner with the Washington University of Health and Science. We wish to thank all those who came to donate blood on June 15. Members of the Ambergris Caye community generously donated 18 pints of blood, which can potentially save the lives of up to 54 persons.

Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye donates massage tables to community Blood Drive Group

The San Pedro Community Blood Drive team received two massage tables from the Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye. This generous donation will significantly enhance the upcoming blood drives that usually occur at the Washington University of Health and Science (WUHS), which does not have beds. The tables will be a crucial addition, providing a more comfortable experience for donors during the blood collection process.

SP Red Cross Branch’s last blood drive of the year yields 11 pints

The Belize Red Cross, San Pedro Branch (BRCSPB) held their last blood drive of the year on Saturday, December 14th at the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II.

Blood drives are held by the Belize Red Cross every three months around the country via its local branches to collect the vital liquid and have it available for any emergencies at the blood bank in Belize City.
