Anke Doehm’s criminal case remains adjourned
A check with the Supreme Court in Belize City confirmed that Doehm remains in the country. Her court appearance reportedly took place in May of this year, and since then, no other court appearances are confirmed. The amount of time between court appearances is attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw the Supreme Court temporarily closed at times.

Anke Doehm case adjourned to October
American National Anke Doehm was back at the Supreme Court in Belize City on June 18th to finalize her trial on the charge of ‘Cruelty to a Child,’ in connection to the 2017 death of her 13-year-old adopted daughter, Faye Lin Cannon. However, the trial has been extended after Doehm’s case was once again adjourned until October 15, 2019.

Widow Anke Doehm returned to court on Thursday, September 13th, seeking a variation to her bail conditions so she can travel to the United States of America for health reasons. Doehm, who faces a charge of ‘Cruelty to a Child,’ in connection with the death of her 13-year-old adopted daughter, Faye Lin Cannon, was almost remanded to prison instead after the person who had initially posted bail for her canceled it.
