SPJC and Galen University host COBEC annual conference in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye

The annual winter conference of the Consortium for Belize Educational Cooperation (COBEC) included a day-long session in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, on Thursday, February 2nd, at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium. The conference highlights COBEC’s mission to continue the guiding principles of cross-border collaboration among member institutions in research, the development of education in Belize, faculty, and student exchange. The partnership involving the United States (US) and Belize education tertiary institutions also aims to internationalize their campuses.

Police Officer is First Recipient of George Cadle Price Scholarship

The Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform and Galen University are pleased to announce that Mr. Zenubio Coc, Inspector of Police and Commander of Community Policing in the Eastern Division, is the first recipient of the George Cadle Price Scholarship. The scholarship is a new award that honours the memory of one of Belize’s most celebrated, respected and beloved leaders.

Introducing Daisy Flores: the new administrator at Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II

San Pedrana Daisy Noelia Flores is the new administrator of the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II. On June 29th she officially took the administrator position and she looks forward to working hard for the community and, together with the medical team, continue to improve their services for the wellbeing of San Pedro Town.

Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform Implements Good Governance, Transparency and Ethics Course

On April 20, 2021, the Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform (MPSCPR) in collaboration with Galen University, launched the Good Governance, Transparency and Ethics Training of Trainers course. Forty public officers from different ministries will be trained as trainers to implement the anti-corruption curriculum to public officers within the wider public service.
