Christmas Tree Lighting launches festive season in San Pedro
San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, officially ushered in the Christmas season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6th. The anticipated celebration featured Christmas carols, singing, and dances, and drew families, locals, and visitors who also enjoyed a mini fair with refreshments and food at Central Park.

Miss San Pedro Pageant Celebrates 70 Years of Island Pageantry
It was a memorable evening on Saturday, November 29th, as San Pedro Town celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Miss San Pedro Pageant. The commemorative event highlighted memorable moments from the island’s flagship pageant, which began in 1955. Many former beauty ambassadors attended the reunion, including the very first Miss San Pedro, Leni Aguilar Alamilla.

San Pedro’s tourism community gathered in style for the fourth annual Tourism Awards Gala at the Holiday Hotel on November 15th, with guests arriving at 7PM and the ceremony officially commencing at 8PM. Hosted by Gerry Badillo and Miley Chi, Miss San Pedro 2025, the event celebrated the dedication and achievements of local industry leaders, bringing together stakeholders, nominees, and supporters for an evening of recognition and appreciation.

Ambergris Caye Celebrates Belize’s Independence Day with Love and Pride
Belizeans across the country celebrated the nation’s 44th Independence anniversary with patriotism and pride, from the youngest to the oldest. In San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, the festivities began on the evening of Saturday, September 20th, with official ceremonies and the flag-raising ceremony. The national celebration culminated on the 21st with the traditional Independence Day Parade, showcasing the Belizean spirit under this year’s theme, “Belize @44 Stronger Together, Rising Forever.”
