Faith Edgar is the new Miss San Pedro 2022-2023
On Friday, June 24th, during the festivities of Dia de San Pedro, the island elected its new beauty ambassador. 20-year-old Faith Edgar, sponsored by Captain Shark's and Marina, was selected as Miss San Pedro 2022-2023. Following the pageant, international DJ Osocity and a host of Belizean entertainers like DJ Dalla, DJ Bigz, Cloud 9, and DJ Shyfta delighted the hundreds of attendees with an after-party.

Simone Biles meets former gymnast champion Alexandra Nicholson
On her last day on Ambergris Caye, Sunday, December 1st, world-renowned gymnast and Olympic champion Simone Biles visited the Maruba Beach Klub at Secret Beach where she met with proprietor Alexandra Nicholson, a former gymnast champion who was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in August 2002.

During a short ceremony, world-renowned Olympic gymnast and gold medalist Simone Biles was presented with the symbolic key to San Pedro Town at Ramon’s Village Resort on Wednesday, November 27th.

Ramon’s Village and SP BTIA donate medical supplies to Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II
Medical equipment donated included wall-mount blood pressure gauges, stethoscopes, otoscope tips, ECG electrodes, tourniquets, scissors, band-aids, alcohol prep pads, and much more. These essential supplies are used daily at the polyclinic.

Ramon Nuñez Sr. contributed immensely to the growth of the tourism industry on Ambergris Caye, and his loss leaves an irreplaceable void. His is a legacy to be proudly honored.

Four island students invited to join 15th NABS Youth Summit in Roatan, Honduras
4 island students are traveling to Roatan, Honduras on June 29 representing Ramon’s Village Resort Dive Shop and Ambergris Caye at the 15th annual National Association of Black Divers Youth Education Summit (NABSYES).

A total of 106 scuba divers from around the United States of America convened on Ambergris Caye from the 4th to the 11th of November, for the 27th Annual Summit of the National Association of Black Scuba Divers (NABS).
