The island’s premier basketball team, the San Pedro Tiger Sharks, extended their winning streak after securing their fifth victory in the Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL) on June 14th. In a tightly contested match, the Tiger Sharks edged out the Western Ballaz with a final score of 80-75.

San Pedro’s premier basketball team, the Tiger Sharks, continues its undefeated run in the Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL). On June 7th, the team traveled to Dangriga Town in southern Belize, where they edged out the EZ Investment Dangriga Dream Ballers 77-74. The following day, they defeated the Capital City Kings 89-77 in Belize City.

The San Pedro Tiger Sharks continue their undefeated streak in the new season of the Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL). On Saturday, May 24th, they had a hard-fought victory over the Belize City Thunderbolts, with a final score of 109–101 at the Belize Civic Center. With this win, the island team remains the only undefeated squad in the league.

2025 Belize Premier Basketball League Begins; San Pedro Tiger Sharks Net First Win
Basketball season has returned to Belize, and San Pedro’s very own Tiger Sharks proudly represent the island in the national tournament. The Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL) tipped off on Friday, May 16th, and continued into Saturday with three exciting games. The San Pedro Tiger Sharks secured a solid win during the opening weekend and are now preparing for their second match on Saturday, May 24th, at the Civic Center in Belize City.

San Pedro Tiger Sharks eliminated in BEBL’s semi-finals
The San Pedro Tiger Sharks were eliminated from the 2024 Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL) championship on Friday, June 7th, by the Belize City Defenders in the semi-finals. The crucial match occurred at the Belize City Civic Center, where the island team gave their best effort but ultimately fell short against the Defenders, who clinched a close 72-69 victory. However, the excitement doesn't end here. The coveted BEBL Championship trophy is now between Benny's Hurricanes and Belize City Defenders, with the first of two matches scheduled for June 21st.

s San Pedro Tiger Sharks prepares for the second game in the Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL) playoffs, the Benny’s Hurricanes have secured their place in the finals after defeating the Griga Dream Ballers 90-83. The 2023 BEBL champions are now waiting for the winner of the best-of-three playoff series between San Pedro Tiger Sharks and Belize City Defenders. One of these teams will face the current champions at the finals, with the first match set for June 21st at 9PM at the Belize City Civic Center.

San Pedro Tiger Sharks falls short in first round of BEBL’s playoffs
The San Pedro Tiger Sharks lost the first match in the Belize Elite Basketball League's (BEBL) playoffs against Belize City Defenders 86-79 on Sunday, May 19th. Held at the Belize City Civic Center, it was the first out of three matches for a chance to advance to this year's finals. With this win, the Belize City team must win one more game to secure their ticket to the finals and compete for the championship.

The San Pedro Tiger Sharks, the island’s premier basketball team, have secured the #2 seed in the 2024 Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL) playoffs. Two teams will advance to the finals after a best-out-of-three series in this tournament stage. The first match between the Tiger Sharks and the Belize City Defenders will occur on Sunday, May 19th, at the Belize City Civic Center at 4PM.
