Thirteen Standard Six and eight Preschool students graduate from Isla Bonita Elementary School

The ceremony saw 13 Standard Six students receiving their primary school certificates, and eight youngsters receiving their preschool certificate.

2019 PSE results are out: Island student AnnElyse Fleser-Perdue places second countrywide!

Topping the country were Jasmine Espat from St. Andrew Anglican Primary school of Cayo District with 386 out of 400 points, followed by San Pedro’s AnnElyse Fleser-Perdue from Isla Bonita Elementary School (IBES) with 380 out of 400 points, and Jasmine Tatyana Nadine Faber from St. Peter Claver Primary School of Toledo District with 379 out of 400 points.

San Pedro sees 117 students graduate from High School

The island’s two secondary education programs, San Pedro High School (SPHS) and San Pedro Adult Continuing Education (SPACE) held commencement exercises over the weekend. With a total of 117 students receiving high school diplomas. This marks a record number of students graduating on the island.

San Pedro Roman Catholic School hosts Education Expo 2019

To commemorate Education Month, San Pedro Roman Catholic School (SPRCS) held an Education Expo on Friday, May 31st. Under the theme: “Financial Literacy, a Pathway to a Productive Life,” the purpose of the Expo was to build their students’ knowledge of agencies that provide essential services to their island community.

Graduates Bryan Camal, Ryan Camal, Nicholas Lausen, Malik Jones, Madison Edwards, Annie Nuñez, Elizabeth Sanchez and Louke Van Noord officially completed their eight years of primary school education and are now prepared to head to high school.

ACES students participate in Financial Literacy Challenge

Under the title “A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned” Standard six students at Ambergris Caye Elementary School prepared a presentation for the Financial Literacy Challenge on Friday, May 23rd.

San Pedro Green and Clean launches Educational Campaign on Ambergris Caye

The aim of the campaign is to educate the younger generation in ways to keep their environment clean and healthy and the importance of doing so. HCAS will be the program’s pilot school and any necessary changes needed will be made before expanding to other schools on the island
