All islanders are invited to Ambergris Caye Elementary School (ACES) 4th Annual Charity Gala & Auction, titled “A Taste of Belize”, to be held at Palapa Bar & Grill in San Pedro Town on Saturday, March 9th. The aim of the fundraiser is to raise both awareness and much-needed operating scholarship funds for the school as it as a nonprofit institution.

After spelling the word ‘inedible’ correctly, Alexis Lawrence of the Ambergris Caye Elementary School (ACES) won the first place at the annual Coca-Cola Spelling Bee Zone 5 eliminations on Thursday, February 21st.

The San Pedro High School (SPHS) celebrated Career Week 2019 under the theme: “The best way to create the future is to predict it” from Monday, February 11th through to Thursday, February 14th.

Belize will need 13,000 health and education professionals by 2040

A new IDB study from the series The future of work in Latin America and the Caribbean estimates that Belize will need 9,000 teachers, 1,000 doctors and 2,000 nurses by the year 2040. The study also highlights that jobs in education and health are good quality jobs, especially for women.
