An exhilarating 3rd Annual Belize International Music and Food Festival held in San Pedro

San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, was the place to be over the weekend of Saturday, July 27th through the 28th, for the third edition of the Belize International Music and Food Festival (BIMFF). The event took place at the Honorable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex (Saca Chispas) and was well attended. It featured two days of entertainment and included some of the best Belizean food and performances by local and international artists. Visiting headliners included Collie Buddz, Shenseea, and world-renowned singer Prince Royce.

San Pedro High School and the Roman Catholic Primary School dominate Band Fest 2024

San Pedro Town was again well represented at the Belize Band Fest 2024 held in Benque Viejo Del Carmen in the Cayo District on Saturday, July 20th. This year, the San Pedro High School (SPHS) and San Pedro Roman Catholic (RC) Primary School brought home two of the top three trophies. They made history with SPHS winning first place and the RC Primary School securing third place in the annual event that sees the best drum and marching bands from the country and abroad.

San Pedro hosts another unforgettable Lobster Festival Block Party

The spiny lobster season in Belize has been open since July 1st. To celebrate, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye hosted a two-week-long celebration that ended on Saturday, July 13th, with a grand Lobster Fest Block Party. The block party was the finale of the 13-day Lobster Crawl, which featured daily lobster-themed events at various venues across San Pedro. The anticipated event occurred at the Honorable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Arena (Saca Chispas Field), which featured beautifully decorated restaurant booths offering the best lobster dishes and unique cocktails. As is customary, the food and drink competition was the highlight of the lobster festival, which drew thousands of tourists and locals for an evening of food, drinks, lobster education, and live performances.

San Pedro BTIA chapter hosts annual Beer Festival

The Belize Tourism Industry Association San Pedro Chapter (SP BTIA) hosted its second annual Beer Festival. This unique event combined the thrill of a Stew Chicken Rice and Beans competition with other fun activities. This one-of-a-kind fundraising event featured the best Belizean beers, various delicious food, artisanal products, and live music by DJ Smallz and the Coconut Trio Band.

Another San Pedro Mother’s Day celebration to remember

On Saturday, May 11th, the annual Mother's Day Extravaganza, a unique celebration in San Pedro Town, was held at the Honourable Louis Sylvester Sporting Arena. Hundreds of mothers gathered to enjoy various activities, including a lively karaoke competition, captivating local and international performances, and exciting giveaways.

SP BTIA announces second annual Beer Festival with Stew Chicken Rice & Beans Competition

The Belize Tourism Industry Association San Pedro Chapter (SP BTIA) is excited to announce the second annual Beer Fest with Stew Chicken Rice and Beans competition. The fundraising event, co-sponsored by Bowen & Bowen, The San Pedro Town Council, and the Belize Tourism Board, will be from 5-11PM on Saturday, June 8th, at the Saca Chispas Field in downtown San Pedro. Proceeds will support the SP BTIA Tourism Information Center on Almond Street, with a percentage of the profits donated to the San Pedro Police Accommodation Renovation Project.

San Pedro Town Council to celebrate island Moms

As Mother's Day approaches, the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) is planning a day of fun and entertainment for all mothers. The ultimate "Mother's Day Extravaganza" will be held on Saturday, May 11th, at the Honorable Louis "Cuz" Sylvestre Sporting Arena. Doors will be open from 6PM, and the event will last until 3AM. There will be a fee of $30 at the entrance, and it's an adult-only event. You can expect a night of singing, laughter, games, and fabulous prizes.

Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre entertains while benefiting local nonprofit organizations.

For the second year, a band of community actors and The Black Orchid Restaurant joined forces to entertain the community with a Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre with two performances to raise funds for nonprofit organizations on Ambergris Caye.
