After weeks of intense softball games at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Arena, the Mayor's Co-Ed Softball Cup ends with the tournament's finals set for June 16th. The two teams competing for the championship, Team Crushers and Lil Sharks Senior, have shown exceptional performance throughout the regular season, earning their place in the tournament. Both teams continued their winning streak during the second round of semi-finals on Sunday, June 2nd, securing their spot in the finals.

The Legends Over 35 Football Cup tournament delivered another set of electrifying rounds of games on Sunday, June 2nd, at the Ambergris Stadium. The intense football action started at 6:30 PM, featuring Los Gaseros against Seabull Assassins and Shark Shooters taking on J & L Boys.

The Ambergris Stadium has been a hub of football action, hosting a series of tournaments. The most recent was the Female 7-a-side football competition, featuring three formidable teams: Hurricanes, No Limit, and Girl Power. In the thrilling first match, No Limit emerged victorious, defeating Girl Power 3-1.

The defending champions currently lead the standings with a formidable total of 25 points. Their performance has been exceptional, and they are determined to secure the championship again this year.

Benny’s Hurricanes qualify for the 2024 BEBL finals; San Pedro Tiger Sharks must win next match

s San Pedro Tiger Sharks prepares for the second game in the Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL) playoffs, the Benny’s Hurricanes have secured their place in the finals after defeating the Griga Dream Ballers 90-83. The 2023 BEBL champions are now waiting for the winner of the best-of-three playoff series between San Pedro Tiger Sharks and Belize City Defenders. One of these teams will face the current champions at the finals, with the first match set for June 21st at 9PM at the Belize City Civic Center.

Back-to-back Champs: The SPRCS Boys win the Bishop’s Cup Trophy

On Friday, May 24th, the boy's football team from San Pedro Roman Catholic School (SPRCS) traveled to the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) field in Belmopan City to participate in the Bishop's Cup Tournament Championship. They competed against three teams from other Roman Catholic Primary Schools representing the different districts across the country. After playing different brackets, the final game was between the Santa Elena Roman Catholic School (SERCS) and SPRCS. The island team won the championship, bringing home the grand trophy.

Mayor’s Co-Ed Softball Cup Tournament holds first round of semi-final games

On Sunday, May 26th, the first semi-final round in the Mayor's Co-Ed Softball Cup Tournament kicked off with two intense games at the Honourable Louis' Cuz' Sylvestre Sporting Arena. The four teams that have made it to this part of the tournament include Mampis, Crushers, San Pedro High School (SPHS) Sharks, and Lil Sharks Senior.

The Mayors Co-ed Cup Softball Tournament had another week of games and is heading into the semi-finals. The games occurred on Sunday, May 19th, at 10:00 AM at the Honourable Louis "Cuz" Sylvestre Sporting Arena. Councilor Adaly Ayuso and the San Pedro Town Council Sports Committee organize the competition to promote athletes' participation on and off the island.
