Superintendent Christopher Noble commander of Region Four; his deputy oversees the SP Police Station

The Belize Police Department (BPD) has named Superintendent Christopher Noble commander of the recently created Region Four within the Belize District comprising of Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye. As a result, Assistant Superintendent Basil Reyes will be in charge of the San Pedro Police Station on Ambergris Caye, while Noble oversees both island operations.

Reduced crime and only one murder in San Pedro for 2020

OIC Noble credits the team work between the police and the community for the reduction in crime. "We are a team working for one cause."

New police barracks inaugurated in Caye Caulker

On Friday, October 30th, police officers attached to the Caye Caulker police formation were presented with new police barracks. Attending the new building's inauguration was top brass from the Ministry of National Security, including Commissioner of Police Chester (ComPol) Williams, along with its minister, the Honourable Michael Peyrefitte, and Area Representative Honourable Manuel Heredia Jr.

Brads Gaming Group donates golf cart to San Pedro Police; new Police Constables receive bicycles

On Wednesday, March 18th the San Pedro Police Formation was the recipient of a brand new golf cart courtesy of Brads Gaming Group from Belize City. The island police department was also provided with eight bicycles for its newly installed constables to support the current bike patrol. The bicycles were donated by the Embassy of the United States of America in Belize.

San Pedro female police constables welcome women’s month 2020 with a church service

As part of women’s month 2020, the female constables of the San Pedro Police Formation began the month in their honour by attending the church services at the island’s Catholic Church on Sunday, March 1st.

Authorities enforcing shop liquor license laws, closing stores at 9pm

In recent weeks, San Pedro Town has seen a change in the opening and closing hours of several stores on the island. This is a result of the slow but effective enforcement of the new law mandating that all stores with a Shop license must close and are not permitted to sell alcohol past 9PM.

Superintendent Christopher Noble receives 2019 Crime Fighter Award

The Belize Police Department has recognized the extraordinary job Superintendent Christopher Noble has done as the head of the Coastal Executive Unit (Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker) over the past six months by awarding him with the 2019 Crime Fighter Award.

In their efforts to continue ensuring safety on the island, the San Pedro Police formation has now assign officers to work closely with the south and north neighborhood watches.
