In the first leg of the semi-finals for the tournament’s closing season, the island team faced the visiting team in an intense match that ended in a 1-1 draw. The San Pedro Pirates are now preparing for a decisive second game scheduled for Sunday, April 13th, at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.

San Pedro Junior College competes at ATLIB Football nationals

The San Pedro Junior College (SPJC) male football team represented the Cayes and the central region at the national football tournament organized by the Association of Tertiary Level Institutions of Belize (ATLIB). Independence Junior College hosted the tournament, which took place on March 28th and 29th at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence Village, located in the southern Stann Creek District.

The SPJC team secured their spot in the championship by defeating Saint John’s College Junior College (SJCJC) with a score of 3-2 on Saturday, March 23rd, in San Pedro Town.
