San Pedro Holds 2-on-2 Volleyball Tournament Before Nationals
On Saturday, June 9th, the San Pedro Volleyball Association held a mini 2-on-2 volleyball tournament at Boca del Rio. Eight teams participated in the event to help them refine their skills in preparation for the upcoming Landshark 2025 National Volleyball Championship. This tournament was an important warm-up for the six pairs chosen to represent San Pedro in the national competition's male and female divisions.

Belize’s U-15 Boys National Team played their third match on Wednesday, August 6th, in the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup in Aruba. The young Jaguars faced the host country and, despite a strong performance on the pitch, were narrowly defeated 1-0. The Belizean squad features talented players nationwide, including islander Daniel Caliz.

Team Deep Impact Wins Grand Caribe Deep Sea Classic
Team Deep Impact emerged as the top boat in the 9th Annual Deep Sea Classic, held at Grand Caribe in San Pedro Town from July 31st to August 3rd. In addition to claiming the championship trophy, the team walked away with a cash prize of $103,600. Team Catchin' A Buzz secured second place, followed by Team Reel Escape in third.

Casey’s Snipers and Karla Gillett represent San Pedro in National Pool Tournament
The 2025 Belikin Stout 8-Ball National Finals occurred on August 1st and 2nd in Ladyville, Belize, at Di Bruwry Restaurant and Bar. Sponsored by Belize Brewing Company and organized by the Belize Billiards Sports Federation, this 26th annual tournament brought together 13 teams from all seven districts of Belize. Representing San Pedro was Casey’s Snipers, the local champions sponsored by Casey’s Boatyard Bar and Grill.

Sharks FC Falls Short in NAIC Quarterfinals
The 2025 National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (NAIC) is heading into the semifinals following intense matches on July 26th and 27th. However, San Pedro’s Sharks FC will not advance after a narrow aggregate loss to Vikings FC in the quarterfinals. Despite the setback, the team showed determination and proudly represented the island.
