San Pedro Pirates prepare for crucial semi-final game against Verdes after 2-2 draw

The San Pedro Pirates Football Club is preparing to play one of their most important games in the Opening Season of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) this Sunday, November 20th, at the Norman Broaster Stadium in San Ignacio Town, Cayo District. They will play their second game in the PLB's semi-finals against Verdes FC, following a 2-2 draw match on Saturday, November 12th.

San Pedro Pirates draws 2-2 against Verdes in home game

The island football team, the San Pedro Pirates, hosted Verdes on Saturday, October 15th, at the Ambergris Stadium. It was a decisive game for the island boys to continue climbing the ranks in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) tournament. The Pirates almost succeeded in such a plan, but Verdes put up a fierce fight stealing the opportunity from the home team to climb the PLB ladder after a 2-2 final score.

San Pedro Pirates stomps Bandits 4-1

After being postponed over the weekend due to the inclement weather caused by Hurricane Julia, the Premier League of Belize game between San Pedro Pirates and Bandits took place on Wednesday, October 12th, at the Ambergris Stadium. The island team was determined to crush the Bandits with a well-structured offensive.

Two San Pedranas called to train with Belize National U-20 Women’s team

Dennisa Pineda and Tanya Teul have been called to camp to train with the national Under-20 Women’s National Football Team. The team will start preparations for the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football, commonly known as CONCACAF. The qualifier is scheduled from the 14th through the 23rd of April 2023.

The island's premier football team, the San Pedro Pirates, landed a 3-2 victory over Port Layola after a home game held over the weekend at the Ambergris Stadium. The game marked the tenth week of the Opening Season of the Premier League of Belize.

San Pedro Pirates FC to face Altitude FC today after initial game postponed over the weekend

The island’s premier football team, the San Pedro Pirates FC, has traveled to Independence Village in southern Belize on Wednesday, September 28th, to face Altitude FC following the postponement of the game on Saturday. The team’s management saw some inconveniences with the game scheduled for the middle of the week as some players could not travel with the team. Not only does it leave the team with fewer players, but the island team plays this Saturday, October 1st, at home in San Pedro.

Belize male volleyball team wins bronze medal at U-19 Central American Championship

Belize has a great wealth of talented athletes. On Thursday, September 15th, the national male volleyball team made history after winning Bronze at the U-19 Central American Championship in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras. The tournament was held from the 11th to the 15th of September, involving teams from across Central America. Team Belize not only brought home a historic Bronze medal but also won five individual awards.

Fight Night I: Genesis thrills island MMA fans

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) came to San Pedro Town on Saturday, September 10th, with 501 Fight Night I: Genesis held at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium. The event elated MMA fans with nine fights culminating with a title match in which San Pedro’s Bryce Peterson emerged victorious.
