The San Pedro Pirates finish as sub-champions of 2024-2025 PBL Opening Season
Despite defeating Port Layola 2-1 in game two of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) finals on Sunday, December 8th, the San Pedro Pirates could not secure the league’s opening season championship. Port Layola, having achieved a 4-2 aggregate score after their 3-0 victory over the Pirates on December 7th, won the championship for the second time, claiming the 2024-2025 opening season trophy.

After being postponed twice due to inclement weather, the match between San Pedro Pirates Football Club (FC) and Progresso FC was finally held on Saturday, November 2nd, at the Ambergris Stadium. In week two of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) opening season, San Pedro Pirates Football Club won 4-0 against the Belmopan Bandits. Despite their fresh start, the island's premier football team, displaying resilience and determination, did not secure a victory. The final score was a hard-fought 0-0 against Port Loyola.
