Former San Pedro Pirates’ John Kings’ death mourned by sports and music community nationwide

The shooting death of former footballer and artist John King, 28, in Belize City, was felt deeply countrywide, especially in San Pedro Town. King played with the San Pedro Pirates Football Club and was one of their best offensive mid-fielders. He was also passionate about music, and after leaving the island, he ventured into this field, where he produced several recordings that can be viewed on YouTube.

San Pedro Pirates male and female teams play home games; girls net first win

The San Pedro Pirates female and male football teams played at the Ambergris Stadium on Saturday, March 19th. The girls played first, defeating team Verdes Rebels 1-0. The San Pedro Pirates male team was not so fortunate, and after an intense match against team Wagiya, they had to settle with a draw 1-1.
