Karissa Vasquez crowned as San Pedro Lions Club’s new queen
Miss San Pedro Lions 2024-2025 Karissa Vasquez was crowned on Thursday, April 18th. In a brief session held at their Lions Den on Barrier Reef Drive, Vasquez gracefully accepted the crown from outgoing queen Krystal Navarrete.

Miss San Pedro 2023-2024, Mariel Calderon, would like to invite young ladies between the ages of 17 and 27 to apply for the position of Miss San Pedro 2024-2025. They can do so at the San Pedro Town Council during office hours from 8AM to 5PM.

Halima Hoy is the new Miss Universe Belize; Ambergris Caye was well represented
29-year-old Halima Hoy won the Miss Universe Belize 2024-2025 title on Saturday, April 13th, at the pageant held in Belize City. The event occurred at the Belize City Civic Center, where ten contestants competed for the prestigious title. Among the contestants was San Pedro’s Vivian Noralez, who proudly represented La Isla Bonita.

San Pedro's entrepreneur, Vivian Noralez, left her island home on Sunday, April 7th, to compete in the national Miss Universe Belize Pageant in Belize City. The event, featuring ten contestants, takes place on Saturday, April 13th, at the Belize City Civic Centre, starting at 8 PM. The other contestants include Maryam Abdul-Qawiyy, Jasmin Rhamdas, Maya-Lis Wright, Monillee Aspinall, Shaenna Gilharry, Hailma Hoy, Fany Mejia, Myra Sibrain, and Mikayla Gongora.

Miss World Belize Elise Gayonne Vernon makes it to the Top 40 in the 2024 Miss World Competition
Miss World Belize Elise-Gayonne Vernon made it to the top 40 in the 71st edition of the Miss World Pageant. On Saturday, March 9th, the Miss World 2024 pageant was held in Mumbai, India. Krystyna Pyszková, a 23-year-old law student from the Czech Republic, won the crown. While the Belizean beauty did not win the overall competition, she made her mark during the preliminary competitions.

Vivian Noralez to Participate in Miss Universe Belize Pageant
On Monday, February 19th, Miss Universe Belize Pageant candidates were announced for the upcoming pageant. One of the participants is Islander and entrepreneur 25-year-old Vivian Noralez. The other contestants include Maryam Abdul-Qawiyy, Jasmin Rhamdas, Maya-Lis Wright, Monillee Aspinall, Shaenna Gilharry, Hailma Hoy, Fany Mejia, Myra Sibrain, Mikayla Gongora.

SPHS crowns first Reina de la Banda Zsapphirrah Coleman
On Saturday, November 25th, the San Pedro High School (SPHS) started an annual tradition dubbed La Reina de la Banda. The first pageant of its kind saw five participants delighting in a packed Angel Nuñez Auditorium along with several dance performances. They all competed for the coveted title, but in the end, it was Zsapphirrah Coleman who claimed the crown as the first SPHS’s Reina de la Banda 2023-2024.

2023 Miss San Pedro contestants introduced during sashing ceremony
It was an evening of elegance, poise, and beauty at the official sashing ceremony that officially introduced the 2023 Miss San Pedro Pageant candidates vying for the crown. The event, attended by many guests and supporters, was held on Trigger Fish Street, next to El Fogon Restaurant, on Wednesday, June 7th. The five contestants aspiring to be San Pedro’s next beauty ambassador delighted those in attendance with their presence and presentations, including a fashion show. This year’s beauty contestants include Vivian Noralez, Ileny Aguilar, Herla Ortiz, Gabby Lopez, and Mariel Calderon.
