Premier League of Belize football tournament starts this weekend; SP Pirates play home game
The San Pedro Pirates Football Club is back and ready to represent the island in the open season of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) tournament starting this weekend, Saturday, July 30th. The island team is hosting Dangriga’s Wagiya SC at the Ambergris Stadium. The game begins at 7:30PM, and the entrance fee is $15.

Mundialito Football Tournament starts in San Pedro
On Thursday, July 21st, the San Pedro Town Council Sports officially started the 2022 Mundialito Football Tournament on the island. The sporting competition will see six teams, Brazil, Argentina, Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States, competing. The teams consist of children between the ages of 5 to 14. The games will take place every week at the Ambergris Stadium.

Belize Female Volleyball National Team takes silver medal at the XIX U-21 Central American Women’s Volleyball Tournament
The Belizean female volleyball national team finished in second place with the silver medal after a five-set defeat by Team Guatemala in the XIX Under 21 (U-21) Central American Women’s Volleyball Championship on Saturday, July 16th.
