The Belize International Music and Food Festival returns to San Pedro this year

After its first edition debut on the island in August 2022 and then in Belize City the year after, the Belize International Music and Food Festival (BIMFF) returns to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, for its third edition set for July 27th and 28th. The young festival organized by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) aims to feature a mega concert on its first night, followed by a Day Party on its second day.

Ambergris Caye – a growing location for filmmaking

San Pedro, Ambergris Caye is known for being the mecca for tourism in Belize, attracting visitors worldwide. The island nicknamed 'La Isla Bonita' is also the home to foreign retirees, and recently, it has been the setting for large film projects. The two most recent productions include a horror/thriller PARADIES sequel starring Jhone Y. Lucas and island actor Horacio Louis Guerrero and Blood Knot featuring well-known Hollywood actor Michael Douglas, son Cameron Douglas, and David Morse.

Another unforgettable Halloween party at Holiday Hotel

The biggest Halloween extravaganza on the island and perhaps the country brought many characters to life at the anticipated annual celebration at the Holiday Hotel. Held in partnership with their restaurant La San Pedrana, the festivity took place on Saturday, October 28th, without disappointing and awarding the most outstanding costumes with fabulous prizes. The event included an orange carpet, contrary to the usual purple, rolled out at the entrance of the hotel’s restaurant.

Concert to benefit children with cancer draws the crowds in San Pedro

San Pedranos enjoyed the long holiday weekend with a special concert to benefit children with cancer on the island. The ' Capullo de Rosa’ event was held on Saturday, October 7th, at the Honourable Louis Sylvester Sporting Arena with a lineup of local and international artists. With the main event featuring Peruvian star Rossy War, the concert to benefit children with cancer was deemed a success.

A concert set for Saturday, October 7th to benefit children living with cancer will be held at the Honourable Louis Sylvester Sporting Arena in San Pedro Town. The event, dubbed Capullo de Rosa, includes a lineup of local and international performers. The main event of the evening will feature Peru’s star Rossy War, who along with Belizean performers, promises to be a night to remember on La Isla Bonita.

DJ Osocity highlights Belize Independence Day celebrations in San Pedro

For the second time, San Pedranos were captivated by the electrifying performance of American DJ Osocity. The world-renowned DJ and music producer, named Alex Haniff, kicked off the Belize Independence Day festivities that started just after midnight in the early hours of Thursday, September 21st, at the Honourable Louis Sylvester Sporting Arena.

San Pedro welcomes the September Celebrations with a flag-raising ceremony and street festival

San Pedro Town, one of the most patriotic municipalities in Belize, welcomed the month of September with the annual flag-raising ceremony that marks the beginning of a celebration that will honor many key events throughout the month, culminating with Independence Day. The beginning of the September Celebrations on the island also included the first-ever San Pedro Street Fest held on Barrier Reef Drive.

SP BTIA and partners host Beer Fest with Rice & Beans Competition

The Belize Tourism Industry Association San Pedro Chapter (SP BTIA) is excited to announce its Beer Fest with Rice and Beans competition. The event, co-sponsored by Bowen & Bowen, The San Pedro Town Council, the Belize Tourism Board, and the Capricorn Restaurant, will be from 4-9PM on Saturday, August 5th, at the Capricorn Restaurant, 2.5 miles north of San Pedro Town.

San Pedro’s mothers were delighted on Saturday, May 13th, with an extravaganza of entertainment courtesy of the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC). The annual celebration at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Arena saw various performances, tons of giveaways, and the best of local music to dance the evening away.

The Easter festivities on San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, provided several activities for those seeking to enjoy the annual holiday on the island. From the Passion of Christ play led by the San Pedro Catholic Church to recreational activities on the beach and the yearly kayak race to Secret Beach, San Pedro did not disappoint and welcomed hundreds of visitors over the weekend.
