The Honourable Elodio Aragon, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Youths Sports and Culture received the visit of Her Excelllency, Ana Hazel Escrich, Secretary General of the Central American Social Integration Secretariat (SISCA). During the visit, Minister Aragon and H.E. Escrich discussed mutual areas of the SISCA Regional Agenda such as Regional Youth Development Programs and the proactive participation of Belize in CODICADER (Consejo del Istmo Centroamericano de Deportes y Recreación).
In July 2016 Belize is slated to host the CODICADER Games in fives sports disciplines: Chess, Atlethics, Softball, Football and Basketall at the Primary level. SISCA has expressed its support to the Ministry in the area of sports equipment and technical expertise for the success of hosting the games.
Minister Aragon expressed the continued political and technical support of his Ministry and seeks to enhance the cordial relations existing with SISCA.
Accompanying the Honourable Minister was Chief Executive Officer, Adele Catzim; National Sports Director, Ritchel Dominquez and Mr. Giovanni Alamilla from the National Sports Council.
